OHHH - I love that so much - but it makes me sad beacause the one thing I long for but can't have - is trees in my garden. My whole septic system is dead center in my yard so I can't have anything with a big root system - no where to hang lanterns (or chandeliers) sigh...... I love the dream.
I only found out about this place a couple of years ago and i live in Kentucky! I love the way all the rooms are decorated. Pure perfection. I'd love to go there.
i'm so there with you. seriously. thanks for your notes...life is good, i need to blog again. mom is home, finally, it's been touch and go so i've been focusing on spending time with her, taking care of my hubby and myself...and working! hopefully after mother's day i'll be back into some form of normalcy. xoxo
Pssst...it's a stones throw for me. Literally. Do let me know if you make the trip, Granny. Was the Barn finished when you were there last? Amazing. It calls for divine, blogger dinner!
i am only a couple of hours away...have i gone??? no. maybe one day. i hear it is fab-ulous! via your pics and other bloggers it is on my must-do list!
I've wanted to go for years and years ever since I read about it when S.Kasler helped with the interiors!!!! you are so lucky to be going, if you do go back. Joni
Blackberry Farm is on my top 5 list - was thinking about going there for Thanksgiving as they relax their 'no kids' rule at the holidays (although I would prefer to go there with no kids!).
We stayed there New Years for the millinium with five other couples. I was exhausted after Christmas and didn't really want to go. When we were ushered into our beautiful little cabin filled with gorgeous fabrics and furniture, beautiful music playing in the background, I totally changed my mind. It was still decorated for Christmas, and everything looked so lovely. We had a fabulous time!!
I remember how wonderful your pictures were. I really want to go there.
ReplyDeleteI'm in.

Oh, I really wanted to visit Blackberry Farm when we lived in Nashville, but sadly we never made it. Maybe one day...
