Who doesn't want to fall into this bed?
I can't begin to tell you how the peace and serenity of it is calling my name! What a few weeks it has been.
Does your bedding have color or are you a purist? This duvet reminds me of a cottage garden.
My bedding changes like my china. I'm seasonal. Spring in my bedroom is pure ivory.
Thank you, Sferra. I adore you.
Rest well this wonderful weekend, dear friends.
We have some color in our bedroom, mostly pale restful colors though. The idea of a seasonal bedroom has always appealed to me but with my curtains it is note easy to do.
ReplyDeleteYour luxurious linens are divine.
Hugs,
Sue
For the last several years, I've been a little bit of a purist. Our house we just sold I had used Farrow & Ball's Ringwold wallpaper. I wanted the same feeling as Charlotte's bedroom from Sex & City. For the bedding I kept it simple with white & wee bit of green in the mongramming & piping. In the winter months, I added a green duvet. Happy Spring, Granny!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of an all white antique linen bed ... think Pandora de Balthazar, but practicality just won't let me do it. Maybe in a guest room. That would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI do like my color but with that said, one of my favorite looks is an all white/ivory bed on with a beautiful color on the walls as the back drop!
ReplyDeleteI love Sferra too -- when I am not counting my pennies. I normally like all white or ivory. Sometimes a little color in the throw pillows is okay, but not really on the sheets. These pictures you have selected are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHeavenly.
ReplyDeleteI prefer all-white linens, but my husband doesn't. We've compromised on mostly white sheets with seafoam green/ chocolate trim.
I love white bedding. I just spruced up our guest room with white bedding and a green quilt. It was an inexpensive sprucing from IKEA but I love the results.
ReplyDeleteMy room has chocolate brown walls and blue and white bedding. It's a small room and the brown walls it warm and cozy.
I love white bedding, but with three dogs and two cats...it's not going to happen. Since I would rather have them around than have a perfect bedroom, I guess we'll stick with darker colors. lol
ReplyDeleteWhite, white, and shades of white.
ReplyDeleteThat last room with the glow of the fire....ah!
those look so lovely...i've realized i like white linens with touches of color best...it's taken a few huge mishaps but it's always good to figure out what you like!
ReplyDeleteColored walls, but white w/ monogram bedding. Bedskirt is Lilly. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've been on a hunt for new bedding! This is inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI need a nap now!
ReplyDeleteI think linens are one of the best personal luxuries to spend money on. You use them daily and high quality really does make all the difference!
ReplyDeleteI am currently working on our master bedroom and am realizing that i must budget for some of these gorgeous new linens also.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another delightful post.
You are one of my daily reads that I always look forward to.
Thanks and have a great weekend.
Lisa in Lexington.
gorgeous! I love the feel of amazing sheets on your skin, esp. after a day at the beach when you are showered and ready to luxuriate your exfoliated self... lovely pics
ReplyDeleteWhite linen is my favourite...scented with lavender. I even enjoy the ironing.
ReplyDeleteLove these. Im a neutral gal. I usually have some form of slate blue/brown/tan mix going on. Im glad you posted this! My bedroom needs a makeover!! Spring cleaning!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful beds. Most of mine are white, ecru or a bit darker beige. Guest room is green. I like odd bits of old linens and lots of real pillows! I love the first bed! After washing, and ironing (with lavender water), they are stored in the linen closet with more lavender. Linens should not only look pretty, they should smell pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love all white bedding. That's what we used to have in our bedroom. We currently have white paired with sky blue from Restoration Hardware. It's not my favorite, but when you're married, it's all about compromise. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a seasonal bed! For me, it is classic white linens and blanket color, accented with blue here and there in the pillows. I am about to order two monogrammed pillows - the order for new euro shams and blanket covers has been submitted, the side tables and bench should be here any week (they said 12 weeks in January, but you know how that goes...I hope to see it in May!). I am looking forward to my first bed transformation in many years!
