Marker Miracle

What's wrong with this picture?

Yes, you are correct.  Never should these two things be near one another.

Well, they were.  Think toddler.

Guess what?  Marker miracles happen.

Anyone heard of using hair spray to remove permanent marker?  IT WORKS!

Now I'm wondering what in the world does this spray do to our lungs, or the poor hair dresser?

Have a wonderful, miracle filled weekend!

  1. I learned that years ago. Teachers just have to know all the secrets of marker/perm. ink removal. I got ink all over a fave skirt one time and someone told me to use hairspray. I did and it worked and I was amazed! Rubbing Alcohol also works! {I agree with your comment about what hair spray does to the lungs - yuck} That is a beautiful piece of furniture. xoxo

  3. I've never tried it on wood, but it has saved a shirt from an ink stain once or twice!

  5. OH NO. That is my worst nightmare - but CONGRATULATIONS for resolving it with the hairpspray - that is a fantastic ip I shall commit to memory. I have a chest of drawers very similar and when cappie goes near it my heart skips a beat? Yesterday he was trying to etch into it with a hairclip but I caught it in time! v.v. useful post I am grateful for! :)

  9. I learned that several years ago. Being the nerd I am and frequently letting ink pens leak in my shirt. Just saturate the shirt (affected area) then launder. It will remove off carpet as well.
