  3. there are SO many things I love about this day -

    1) watching those poor little flower girls try to sort out the massive trail as it spills our of the carriage.

    2) noticing how much Lord Spencer was leaning on his daughter.

    3) seeing Diana's brother as SUCH a young man.

and that amazing processional. no matter how many weddings I've used that piece, it still is SO emotional.

    weeping again.

  4. I'm taken with this every time I watch it. I get sad all over again for her. How she would enjoy her boys and the men they have become. Thanks. xoxo

  5. I still remember getting up in the night to watch this wedding, because of the time delay. It was like a fairy tale. And I did the same for Di's funeral. So sad. As Preppy 101 said, Diana would have loved being with her boys. Thanks for sharing. Love & blessings from NC!

what a true lady & mother. everytime i look at that william, i can't help but think of her for their similar looks, but how proud she would be of him & harry. but especially william and how he has become his own person. thinking outside the box while staying in.

  9. What a gorgeous creature she was - so young and hopeful! Thank you for visiting Brabourne Farm and for taking the time to leave such a wonderful comment - it's very much appreciated. Leigh

  10. I felt sorry for her, like she was a trapped bird in an unwelcome environment. I admire that she gave much to charity and was an activist before it grew fashionable.

  11. It really was! Mother always tells me about the English breakfast party she held for the wedding. She collected all the Diana and Charles memorbilia (tin trays, a poster, some random china, etc) which she had out. Then she had a big breakfast (more Southern than English food) and all her friends came over at 4am to eat and watch the wedding! I plan on recreating this when Wills ties the knot!

  12. I remember watching this on TV - we had just got a colour TV too and my Mum and I were so amazed.... years later when I had moved to London and was a working girl my boyfriend (now my husband) took me to Kensington Place (restaurant) for my 30th birthday. On the table next to us was Princess Diana... with two girlfriends.... she was stunning, tall and beautiful and massive blue eyes.... I have loads of lovely memories of Diana....

  13. Awwww! I still remember my mom waking me up in the middle of the night to watch. When D died when Miss Priss was 6 months old, I cried because she would never know how lovely Diana was.
