I have to remind myself not to let life pass me by. I can get all too consumed in whatever project is going on at a particular time.
I took a few minutes today to step into the garden with my camera. I find that taking the camera actually helps me slow down. I have to focus and look at the detail.
Beautiful things are happening all around us. We have to take the time to enjoy the process. The flowers didn't just appear. They have been growing and changing for months--just like all of us.
What may seem a weed to some is a thing of beauty, if given the right focus and attention.
I hope that you have been able to slow down and enjoy the life around you. If not, I hope that you are able to take a virtual sniff of theses lovelies.
Remember: Beauty and inspiration can be found just about anywhere and from anyone.
Stop and smell the roses (flowers, weeds, etc.) today--and tell me all about it.
Iloved the stop I just made at your blog. Your post is so beautiful. It is the little things in life that really matter - a rose petal, a raindrop on a leaf, and a few minutes of time to give "positive pats" to someone. Thank you for making my evening.

I walked my dog this evening after dinner - no where exciting, just the neighborhood. It was a beautiful spring evening, the air smelled wonderful, and I enjoyed looking at the new leaves that seem to have suddenly appeared overnight. I particularly liked looking up to the sky and seeing the lacy pattern against the evening light.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers. I take many photos of flowers and nature ... just a little something that makes me happy!

Ah, I love! Roses have the best smell and I have yet to find any manufactured "fresh cut roses" smell that captures it the way mother nature does. I love the smells of spring and summer. On the trail where I run, there are gobs and gobs of honeysuckle vine (personal favorite) and part of me just pushes myself to make it to the part of the trail with the honeysuckle so I can smell it... lovely...
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteI took a short nap by the window with Edward. Breezes blew in the fragrance of roses and the sound of bird song.
ReplyDeletevery good points! love the pics and your ideas... I want to smell roses now! Have you ever smelled them when they are so sweet and they have an almost salty note to them? delicious! the closest I've been is the rosewater scented Bliss product, rosy toes... :) I have just been posting about my sweet, sweet love of my life, so that has been my stopping and focusing on what is good. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the beautiful post-
